Department of Information and Communications Technology Secretary Ivan John Uy vows to ramp up cyber security following the series of attacks in the past few months. DICT's aggressive expansion of internet access will drastically increase the country’s tech-savvy population to 85 million in the next few years. This will drive the demand for fintech, digital payments and for other mobile platforms as part of the transition to a digital economy.
